Multinational Project: “Safeguarding the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Guaraní Communities of the CRESPIAL Member Countries” 126v5k

The project “Safeguarding the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Guaraní Communities of the CRESPIAL Member Countries” consists of a set of safeguarding measures aimed at the recognition and appreciation of Guaraní cultural expressions, both at the regional level of Latin America and in a broader international perspective. 6a4a16

This multinational project has had the participation of the Focal Nuclei of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay, as well as representatives of Guaraní communities at different times during the project.

From 2007 to 2015, 7 regional meetings were held with the technical teams responsible for leading the project in each country to plan t actions. They shared the results achieved individually in each territory.

These meetings resulted in an agreement to construct a shared database of Guaraní cultural expressions, a diagnosis of these communities’ PCI, and an elaborated cultural cartography.

Within the project framework,e processes, activities, and strategies for safeguarding the Guaraní Intangible Cultural Heritage in each of the participating countries were systematized, identifying standard features and differences in the safeguarding processes of each territory among the products that have been developed within the framework of this initiative is the production of a CD with the safeguarding diagnoses of the ICH of the countries that are part of the project and the distribution of UNESCO kits, which contain the Guaraní language version of the UNESCO 2003 Convention.

CD – Sistematización e informes del Inventario del Universo Cultural Guaraní 2013 j4r4p

Este disco, producido en el año 2013, contiene los diagnósticos nacionales de cada país participante y una sistematización de ellos, así como las respectivas memorias del proyecto y el texto de la Convención UNESCO 2003 en lengua Guaraní.
